The Spectrum by LG is the first smartphone to offer a True HD experience with 1280 x 720p resolution and In-Plane Switching (IPS). IPS is a technology originally developed for premium LG HDTVs that offers a wide viewing angle and better color reproduction. At 4.5", the display is one of the largest on the market, and will be great for watching movies and browsing the web.
The Spectrum is also the first smartphone to feature ESPN ScoreCenter which features a True HD video feed as well as player statistics. Users of the app will be able to highlight their favorite teams and leagues.
The Spectrum by LG also features Real-Stripe RGB, a similar technology found on Samsung Super AMOLED Plus displays. With Real-Stripe, the display contains vastly more sub-pixels than ordinary AMOLED displays.
Featuring a 1.5 GHz processor with a 4GLTE speed boost, this smartphone has one of the best portfolio of specificiations available on the market today. You can even stream Dolby Digital Plus audio to your television to watch select movies and TV shows in 7.1 surround sound.

The Spectrum has an outstanding HD display and excellent call quality but that wasn't enough for me to ignore the atrocious battery life. I found that, even with light use (making a few brief calls, checking a few e-mails, sending a few texts, checking my facebook page, etc.) that I was at 20-30% battery by the time lunch was over. Even when I was able to charge the phone while I was driving, it didn't charge fast enough to make much of a difference. I ultimately decided to return the phone and pick up the Razr Maxx. The display isn't as nice but I can go a full 24 hrs + without needed to find an outlet which was not possible on the Spectrum.

Love the phone, except it doesn't have a notification light on the outside of the phone when a text comes in. I really depended on that with my other phones. Everything else is great. Easy to use, and an awesome screen.
